JBS to Release Copilot NAVI to Support Corporate Productivity Revolution Using Copilot for Microsoft 365, Now Open for Pre-orders

Japan Business Systems, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: Yukihiro Makita; hereinafter, “JBS” securities code: 5036) released the Copilot NAVI service on November 20, 2023, to encourage full usage of the AI assistant Copilot for Microsoft 365, which Microsoft started offering to companies from November 1, 2023, and to accelerate companies’ digital transformation.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an assistant that supports various work operations using AI and its official release had been long awaited since its announcement by Microsoft in March 2023. JBS participated in the Copilot verification held prior to its release from August and the lessons gained from the experience of repeated technological verification, such as employees using Copilot for Microsoft 365 in actual work, have been incorporated into Copilot NAVI. JBS will be accepting pre-orders for Copilot NAVI from today, available at a special price for a limited time only.

Based on internal verification conducted on the initial pilot version of Copilot, we have developed Copilot NAVI, which puts together videos and overview materials for the preparation of the usage environment necessary for the implementation of Copilot, samples of precise instructions and questions which will be essential for using generative AI, recommended usage scenarios, and more. It is packed with hints for you to smoothly implement and advance the establishment of Copilot in your organization.

Along with this, for customers who desire it, we provide support to administrators. Engineers who are experts in Microsoft products provide flexible, all-round technological support for Copilot implementation, usage, and management.

Based on Azure OpenAI Service released in January 2023, by providing support for the use of generative AI such as by Sega Sammy Holdings and the provision of AIplicity Chat Powered by ChatGPT API, a service to safely and securely use ChatGPT API, JBS has been working to help customers become more familiar with AI and supporting their use and establishment of AI. For Copilot for Microsoft 365 released this time by Microsoft as well, JBS hopes to utilize its experience in generative AI implementation and support at companies, what we have learned about using generative AI as a user, and provide verified solutions ready for instant usage to customers.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is a productivity enhancement tool that efficiently responds to user instructions and questions combining accumulated data based on large language models and Microsoft 365 applications. As Microsoft expresses in the phrase “Your everyday AI companion,” it is incorporated into Microsoft 365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint that we use every day. It efficiently improves creativity and productivity by responding to instructions and questions in real time.

About half a year has passed since ChatGPT has become a major topic in Japan. While it has become easy to use, the one prevailing issue is that many users have just stopped at the stage of trying it out for simple questions and searches, and taking it to the utilization stage still remains a challenge. In order to produce outcomes for productivity and work styles through generative AI, it is necessary to understand what generative AI can do well, throw precise prompts at it to create a cycle to keep generating good results, and get to the stage of using it naturally (=establishment).
