2023.11.14
PressreleaseJapan Business Systems, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: Yukihiro Makita; hereinafter, “JBS” securities code: 5036) announces that its original design (=architecture) developed for Azure OpenAI Service is to be released to the public after being screened and approved by its original provider Microsoft.
The AIplicity Chat Powered by ChatGPT API*1 (hereinafter, “AIplicity Chat”) released by JBS on April 28, 2023 to safely and swiftly implement GPT technology was developed based on the architecture that has now received certification. It has therefore been certified as giving due consideration to reliability and security based on the Azure OpenAI Service reference architecture proposed by Microsoft Japan.
AIplicity Chat is already being used by various companies and its operation in actual work has been proven. With its architecture now approved JBS has been certified as an Advance Partner Advanced Partner in Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service reference architecture*2 endorsement program, which is a certification given to “partners who undertake innovative efforts.”
AIplicity Chat Updated
AIplicity Chat provides consulting to resolve worries related to the implementation of GPT-related technology at companies and provides a ChatGPT application that avoids confidential information leakage risks to support swift implementation of safe and secure GPT technology. As noted above, AIplicity Chat is developed based on the architecture that has received certification this time, but at this time the service has been updated to reflect additional architecture. This update reflects wishes from users who are already using AIplicity Chat in functions and services (Figure 1).
Figure 1 Updated Contents
- Functions : supports GPT-4 and provides management functions such as user access control. Furthermore, it can be used not only from a browser but also from Microsoft Teams, aiming to be easier to use for all users.
- Services : provision of one-year of maintenance in order for users to be able to feel secure in using AIplicity Chat. Service provides updating of Microsoft Azure, which is the foundation, and browser, and improvement of standard functions. Additionally, functions are provided for administrators such as user interface customization, user management, and chat data confirmation. The functions are improved through maintenance services and the provision of external data usage and high level management functions are also planned in the future.
- Structure : based on configuration in the East Japan region the response has been improved. Additionally, because the East Japan region is controlled conforming to Japan’s laws and regulations, it now fulfills Japan’s standards for data protection and privacy.
Future Development
JBS intends to continue to actively incorporate the Microsoft Copilot*3 technology and values provided by Microsoft and expand AIplicity Chat and other various AI-related services. Developing services such as a ChatGPT service that enables companies to search their own data, we will continue to provide support that identifies with customers and helps them advance DX making thorough use of AI.
With the release of the architecture this time, we have received the following endorsement from Microsoft Japan.
Microsoft Japan wholeheartedly welcomes the architecture release by JBS related to Azure OpenAI Service. JBS has actively advanced Microsoft cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure from the very start and we are delighted that they lead the Japanese market as one of our Advanced Partners in Azure OpenAI Service as well.
Even in Japan, where delays in DX are a much discussed subject, GPT technology is gathering attention and people can easily use it now. However, the use of AI is not something that can be advanced simply by putting it in front of us. It is something that requires time to become established, after which it will advance. We expect that the use of Azure OpenAI Service will advance and further technological innovation will occur with JBS, whose strength lies in providing advanced technology in an accessible way. Going forward, Microsoft Japan will provide further services using AI through a dynamic partnership with JBS to contribute to the digital transformation of society.
