JBS Launches Managed Security Service for Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Completing Service Line-Up for All Microsoft 365 E5 Security Products

Japan Business Systems, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yukihiro Makita, President; hereinafter “JBS”) launched Managed Security Service for Azure Advanced Threat Protection (hereinafter "MSS for Azure Advanced Threat Protection"), a total support service for cyberattack countermeasures that utilizes the functions of Azure Advanced Threat Protection, a security solution for Microsoft Japan’s cloud platform Microsoft Azure, on February 4, 2020.

Characteristics and Merits of This Service

When contacting customers after detecting an alert, in addition to the Azure Advanced Threat Protection analysis results, JBS also provides selected information from the knowledge that JBS has accumulated as a long-time Microsoft partner. This makes it easier for the customer’s system personnel/security personnel to determine whether it is necessary to respond to the alert and contributes to reducing the burden of security operations.

The service of MSS for Azure Advanced Threat Protection contains the following.

  • Monitoring and identifying alerts and swiftly narrowing down threats (extraction of malicious activity)
  • Reporting the investigation results and recommended response items to the customer and supporting the customer’s incident response
  • Elimination (responding to false positives)
  • Recurrence prevention (policy reflection, etc.)
  • Managed Security Service for Azure Advanced Threat Protection

  • Compatible with All Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5 Security Products

    JBS has been providing comprehensive managed services for the series of modern workplace security products included in Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5 since November 1, 2018. With the launch of MSS for Azure Advanced Threat Protection this time, JBS has made the provision of managed security services possible for all Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5 Security products.* JBS aims to reduce customers’ operational burden and improve their IT environment security level at an even higher level than previously.

    Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (Office 365 ATP) is a security product that can provide wide and deep protection against a wide range of targeted attack e-mails. JBS operates the product on the customers’ behalf, supporting security enhancement and damage reduction to customers’ assets.

    Fifth round: Managed Security Service for Azure Advanced Threat Protection (Launched February 4, 2020)
    Azure Advanced Threat Protection detects and analyzes unauthorized activity relating to credentials such as users, computers, and resources within an organization, and also detects and analyzes malicious attacks. It provides support that enables organization administrators to take swift action.
