Japan Business Systems Decides on the Adoption of SAP HANA® Enterprise Cloud with Azure as the Migration Infrastructure for SAP’s Next Generation ERP, SAP S/4HANA®

SAP Japan Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yuzuru Fukuda, President; hereinafter “SAP Japan”) announces that Japan Business Systems, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yukihiro Makita, President; hereinafter “JBS”) has adopted the latest version of SAP’s next generation ERP suite SAP S/4HANA®, cloud infrastructure service SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud with Azure, and started implementation, aiming to conduct migration to SAP S/4HANA® within a short time frame.

JBS continuously harnesses the latest technology not only as a SAP service partner, but also as a Microsoft Gold competency partner, to support the realization of companies’ business transformation from the customer’s viewpoint.

JBS had been operating the on-premise type ERP system SAP Business Suite since 2001, but decided on the migration to SAP S/4HANA in order to enjoy the benefit of the latest innovations. Utilizing SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud with Azure with itself as a real-world showcase, JBS launched the project from May 2019 aiming to realize migration to SAP S/4HANA within a short timeframe.

The merits of choosing SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, an operation service of SAP S/4HANA, for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud which is an integrated service offered on Microsoft Azure are as follows.

• SAP basis/infrastructure management can be conducted on a cloud.
• The user can enjoy the robustness of Microsoft Japan’s cloud platform Microsoft Azure.
• The system has a high affinity with Microsoft’s cloud services and enables JBS strengthens in Microsoft solutions to be fully harnessed.

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud with Azure reduces the management burden of maintaining and operating the SAP core system and promotes the effective use of human resources, which are expected to run short toward 2025.

JBS aims to harness its own experience of implementing the system itself and apply this experience to services for customers, offering the value the system provides to a wide range of customers.
