Japan Business Systems Starts the Provision of Managed Security Service for Azure Active Directory Identity Protection

Japan Business Systems, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yukihiro Makita, President; hereinafter “JBS”) from today, February 12, 2019, launches the provision of Managed Security Service for Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, a total support service for countermeasures against cyber attacks on organizational IDs using the Identity Protection function of ID management infrastructure Azure Active Directory in Microsoft Azure, a cloud platform offered by Microsoft Japan Co. Ltd.

This service is the second round of comprehensive managed services released for the modern workplace security products included in Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5 (*1) following the Managed Security Service for Windows Defender ATP launched on November 1, 2018. Through the provision of a series of managed services, we aim to reduce your operational burden as well as improve the security level of your IT environment.

Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, Azure Advanced Threat Protection, and Cloud App Security, etc., which are cyber kill chain-based multilayer protection products (*2), are provided for Microsoft 365 E5. These products enable you to use a cloud-oriented business environment centered on Office 365 securely.
Based on the idea that continued and appropriate operation is necessary in order to use these products effectively, JBS will gradually roll out menus to handle the operation of Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5 totally on your behalf.

What Is Azure Active Directory Identity Protection?

Most security breaches occur due to the attacker being able to access your environment by stealing user IDs. User IDs are the most important security barrier when using a cloud.
Azure Active Directory Identity Protection is a function included in the Azure Active Directory Premium P2 edition of Enterprise Mobility + Security. By using the same protection system used by Microsoft in your environment and detecting vulnerabilities in organizational IDs and suspicious activity, you can prevent infiltrated IDs from being used maliciously.

Merits of This Service

Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection and Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, which are gaining attention as end point security measures, detect suspicious activity from actions using organizational IDs in Azure Active Directory. After detection, we support effective security measures and operation management for such actions, utilizing the knowledge of JBS that we have gained through our track record of working on security measures at many companies. Specifically, through correlational investigation of suspicious activity through two-step entrance and end point monitoring, while analyzing events occurring for both organizational IDs and personal computers, we swiftly eliminate threats and contribute to preventing recurrence. Furthermore, by using a detailed report through Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, we provide protection against high-level cyber attacks targeting companies and strong support for appropriate measures after being subjected to an attack.
