JBS Discloses Cloud Service Security Reference for Medical Institutions

JBS today announced that JBS jointly with Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. created and released the Security Reference for Microsoft Azure targeted for medical institutions.

Shifting to cloud is a recent trend among enterprises. Cloud computing is utilized independent from the size of the company. However, it has been considered difficult to adopt cloud services in the medical industry including hospitals which handles personal information, high density and capacity medical image data and is required to keep availability of medical information system in case of emergency.

To promote utilization of cloud services in medical industry Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry released four guidelines. JBS confirmed and discloses the security reference to meet the requirements of these four guidelines as "Cloud Service Security Reference for Medical Institutions."
